Bishop Simeon Hall

Bishop Simeon Hall was converted to the Christian faith in an Evangelistic Service at Central Gospel Chapel in 1964 while listening to a sermon by the late Tom Skinner of New York. Speaking of his ecumenical foundation Bishop Hall notes.

 

He presently serves as Senior Pastor of New Covenant Baptist Church, Moderator Emeritus, Bethel Baptist Association and President of the Bahamian-Haitian Covenant Fellowship.

 

A gregarious, passionate and creative individual, Bishop Hall brings excitement to every thing he touches.

 

Born April 12th, 1947 to Walter Hall and Ms. Nola Musgrove (the bake crab woman), Bishop Hall graduated from the American Baptist Theological Seminary in 1973. He has done studies at Vanderbilt University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and The Billy Graham School of Evangelism.

 

Bishop Hall has traveled extensively proclaiming the gospel, and has preached on all the Islands of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. He has been to every major island nation in the Caribbean, forty-three (43) states in North American and he has preached in Europe, South America, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, China and London, (England).

 

On June 14th, 2000 Bishop Hall was named in the Queen’s Birthday Honors- Officer of The Most Excellent Order of The British Empire.

 

Bishop Hall was elected President of The Bahamas Christian Council of Churches in 1997 and served the full term of three years.

 

His strong social conscience, public advocacy, uniqueness and colorful speeches placed the Council in the hearts and spirit of the Bahamian people, and raised it to new level never before experienced.

 

A wordsmith, Bishop Hall is noted for some of the most colorful sermons preached from a Bahamian pulpit. Always with an opinion and never flinching to contend for the faith. In the past 22 years he has addressed both major political parties, a total of fourteen times.

 

Bishop Hall comes alive in the pulpit and is always ready to declare the truth of God. He is the author of the books, “How The Kingdom Will Come – Sermons Advancing The Kingdom of God”, “When The Eagle Stirs her Nest” & “Sermons From A Bahamian Pulpit.” His personal maxim is: “It is always better to be justified by God than to be vindicated by man.”

 

He is married to the former Linda Farrington and they are the proud parents of three children: Shacantilla, Simeon Jr. and Sanderia.
